Waste of money
Bought a Visa Vanilla prepaid to use specifically online. When the website was not able to claim the funds, I didn't know what to do.
Thought I could use it to create an Amazon balance and pay with that. This wasn't successful either. Basically, I'll be stuck buying something I don't really want and I'm out the 4.95 activation fee.
Avoid the same mistake I made and get another way to purchase products. Online shopping should not be this difficult just because of a prepaid card.
To pay $4.95 just to activate a card is ridiculous, I can see $.99 anything over that is really overkill.
If you cant or don't have a bank account Paypal is much better. You can add money at select stores with cash and it's accepted almost everywhere as payment.

Unable to use my gift card
I received a Visa Debit Gift Card for Christmas and have tried to use it two times. Each time it was declined. When I called the phone number indicated on my card, 1-80*-571-****, I was unable to talk to a person, but the recording let me know that my card was expired. This doesn't make any sense since the expiration date on my card is 06/23. I tried calling this customer service number again several times but was never able to reach a live person. I looked on the website to see if I could find an explanation for my problem but was directed to the customer service number that I have already tried. Needless to say, I am not going to waste any more of my time with that process. I need this problem to be fixed as soon as possible.
The card # is 4847 18** **72 0030. The 3 digit # on the back is 021.
