Vanilla Visa - Customer Service Refused to activate card
I am so PIXXed..
We like to give gift cards to people for special occasions because that gives the recipient the option of using the card to meet their needs or desires and they don't end up with a gift they did not need.
We recently gave an activated $150.00 Vanilla visa gift card to friends.
We discovered that they were not able to use the card.
We contacted Vanilla and they made the discussion impossible. A 6 year old grade one child would probably have the intelligence to work for their customer service.
We were not able to resolve the issue and are now forced to have the store provide proof that we purchased the card there and at what time the card was purchased and activated.
This is their customer service.
Once again, I have used this service for years without problems, but when there is a problem, they are not there to support of fix the issue at hand.
More info on this will come as I will be seeking legal advice and also using the social media to warn others with the details of our experience.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
Monetary Loss: $157.
Vanilla Visa Pros: Flexibility of card values available.
Vanilla Visa Cons: Not being able to use a gift card.
Location: Kitchener, Ontario
